When that box lands on your porch, somebody with a name and a coffee and a favorite huggie pair put it together just for you. That's not some marketing line. That's just how we do it around here!
Seventeen women make up the whole team behind Hey June right now. They pick your pieces, check them, wrap them, and send them out the door.
It all started back in 2015 with birthstone necklaces on Etsy, made in a townhome basement during nap times and late nights. The whole plan? Just make enough to cover the next month.
By 2020, a handful of amazing women were pitching in on shifts from 10pm to 2am, sometimes paid in Big Macs (yes, really!). The orders kept rolling in and honestly, it was a shock every single time.
This year we crossed 200,000 orders. Same values, way more hands, and still every single box packed by one of us.
A real person catching your pieces before they ship means somebody actually looks at your huggie clasp, your necklace chain, your studs. That kind of check only happens when a human is holding it.
Take huggies, for example. Their whole magic is that exact fit in the latch, and a person handling the pair notices when something isn't clicking right, in a way a conveyor belt never would.
We can't promise metal never wears, because it does over time. What we can tell you is that a set of eyes was on your pieces before they left us.
Everything we send out is 14k gold filled, sterling silver, or vermeil. On our gold filled, that means real gold bonded through heat to a brass core, not some thin coating that flakes off.
We stand behind it because we wear it ourselves! Plenty of us sleep and shower in our own huggies and screwbacks and get months, sometimes years, of happy wear.
So when we pack your order, we're packing the exact same stuff sitting on our own ears and wrists.
We fulfill orders in about 3 to 5 business days, a little longer during the holidays and big sales because we're all hands packing! That timeline exists because people, not robots, are doing the work.
If a huggie shows up a little too tight or too loose, that's usually an easy fix. Push the post down a bit if it's too tight, up a bit if it's too loose, then click it right back into the latch.
Thousands of you have grown into this community over the last decade, and honestly? That support is the whole reason a basement side hustle turned into seventeen women packing boxes with your name on them. You're part of the story, and that means everything!
